Dr. Duncan earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in 2008 (Go Gators!) and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia in 2013. While attending UF she volunteered and worked with Animal Shelters and Animal Rescue Organizations to find ‘furever’ homes for cats and dogs.

She continued her work in shelter medicine in veterinary school by serving as the president of the UGA Shelter Medicine Club. In her time as president, she helped run the yearly Shelter Medicine Symposium and created an externship opportunity for 3rd and 4th year veterinary students at a local shelter. This helped students obtain valuable surgical skills and knowledge in shelter medicine/herd health.

After graduation Dr. Duncan moved to Atlanta GA, and worked as a general practitioner caring for dogs, cats and the occasional exotic animal. In 2017, she took a leap of faith and started her own business as a Relief Veterinarian. In this position she was able to hone her skills as a general practitioner, emergency medicine clinician, and a High-Quality High-Volume Spay and Neuter (HQHVSN) Surgeon. In her time as a relief veterinarian, she'd helped over 40 practices in Atlanta Georgia and the surrounding areas.

In 2022 Dr. Duncan moved to Kentucky to be closer to her partner and to bring a little bit of the ATL to Louisville. Her goal is to use the tips and tricks she’s learned along the way to help the community and mentor future veterinarians. Dr. Duncan has a special interest in infectious disease, shelter medicine, and soft tissue surgery. She enjoys teaching and mentoring to students interested in the field, and in her spare time she loves to cook, practice yoga, dance, and sing.
